We are deeply saddened to announce that our former Managing Partner and Head of Commercial Property, Anne Kirby, has died following a short illness. Anne joined Butcher Andrews from Norwich firm, Fosters, on 31st July 2006 to head up the Commercial Property Department. She soon became Managing Partner and the firm’s first Compliance Officer Legal Practice (COLP), a role she performed with her usual thoroughness and rigour. We all felt in very safe hands with Anne in charge!
Anne was a brilliant lawyer, extremely hardworking and dedicated to all her staff and clients, with whom she was very popular. She was kind, generous and always up for a party and an excuse to buy a new outfit!
Anne retired on 31st March 2019 and was looking forward to spending time with John and seeing more of her children, Richard and Philippa, and her two grandsons. Sadly, her life was cut far too short.
